Sparacino Bakery closed And Comic Booklets opens!

Sparacino Bakery Brooklyn, © NY Vincenzo Aiosa

I discovered Sparacino Bakery in the nineties, when I had my shop on South First Street. The bread was very good but they had the tendencies  to run out of it,so must of the time there was no bread @ 4.30 in the afternoon.

What kept me going back was the fact that it was the only bakery in the neighborhood, and their unapologetic, rudeness with costumers who were not locals.

  1. WOULD YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW IF THAT SPARACINO’S BAKERY WAS ORIGINALLY BELLUCCI’S BAKERY IN THE 1920-1930′s…..
MY FATHER WORKED AS A BAKER AT BELLUCCI’S AND I BELIEVED IT WAS AT 540 METROPOLITAN AVE…….
IF YOU KNOW WHERE BELLUCCI’S WAS THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL

    THANKS IN ADVANCE……TOM

  2. This was my grandmother’s bakery and it was a bakery before she had it. It opened in the late 50′s and closed early 90′s . Please don’t take her sternness as meanness. The Sparacino Bakery served the community for 40 years.
